About Me

My photo
Well, I've been married for a few years to my wonderful husband, Josh. We have two beautiful daughters (2 years old & 6 months old) who keep us extremely busy. In addition to my mommy duties, I work full-time and also feel the need to volunteer by helping several organizations with events...and then I wonder why I am always stressed about finding time for it all!

Big Girl Bed

Our oldest daughter just tried sleeping in her "big girl" bed for the first time last night and did such a great job! She went to sleep by herself and never got out the bed the entire night! We were shocked. I'm so proud of her, but I'm also so sad that she's growing up so quickly. My husband and I kept peeking in her room last night and she just looks so tiny in that big bed. I don't want her to grow up. Makes you realize how important it is to cherish every moment with your babies.

Obsessison with Paper

My husband doesn't understand why I spend so much time just looking at invitations and stationery online. I've always been a freak about stationery and invitations and have boxes of party and wedding invitations that I've saved over the years. If I could host a party a week, I would just so I can order pick out invitations. I LOVE them! Fortunately for me, one of my best friends has started her own business, Sage Sisters Press, and purchased a letter press machine. Her work is truly amazing.

Some of my other favorite sites that I browse for hours on end are Hicks Paper Goods, Lemon Tree Paperie, and The Stationery Studio.

Welcome 2010!

Can you believe it's 2010??? I definitely can't. I also can't believe that my oldest daughter was born two years ago tomorrow. We watched some home videos today from this past year and it's amazing how quickly they grow and change. Anyway, looking forward to a great year - already have lots of trips planned to visit great friends and family. Cheers!

It's been so long...

since I've posted a blog! When I first created my blog, I was absolutely obsessed with blogging even though no one is interested in reading what I write or following me. Although I have 2 followers now...something my husband makes fun of me for on a daily basis. Anyway, I obviously have been extremely busy with work, my 2 babies (3 if you include my husband, but he would say I'm the 3rd child), holiday parties, etc. I am so looking forward to having a few days off, but we will be traveling majority of the time! We will be in Ocala for 2 nights with my parents then with my in-laws for 2 nights. I'm excited about seeing everyone, but when Sunday rolls around we are going to be exhausted. I think this will be our last year traveling for the holidays. Too tough with two little ones. I am very late with sending out Christmas cards so I'll share the only decent picture I was able to capture with you. Merry Christmas to all!

When will it end?

I don't remember saying this to my husband when we got married, BUT that's certainly what's happened to us. It amazes me how quickly our debt grew. I feel like it'll take forever before we're finally debt free!

A Hint of India

A good friend of mine from college got married last month in his home town of Fort Myers at this beautiful old house on the Caloosahatchee River. His beautiful bride did all of the planning, which actually surprised me because she's so laid back that I couldn't see her really getting into all of that. My friend (who I went to the wedding with) and I were curious to see how everything turned out and we were pleasantly surprised. The bride's mother is from India so there was a slight touch of India with the decor, food, etc. My friend and I got down to Fort Myers and realized that our dresses, shoes and purses were all the same exact color (bright red). We were laughing about going to the wedding together in our matching outfits, but it got worse when we noticed that the bridesmaids dresses AND the groom's mother were all in RED also! How were we supposed to know? Anyway, it was a great wedding and had a blast seeing the old crew from college.
